HD wird nicht richtig anerkannt?!?
Hallo Leute ich habe ein Hardware Problem: Ich bekam von einem Kolleg einen Computer. Dieser hat jedoch folgendes Problem: Wenn ich den PC anschalte startet er ganz normal, also man kann in den BIOS gehen etc. Wenn ich jedoch dann ein Betriebsystem installieren will, lädt er alles bis die Übertragung auf die Harddisk beginnen sollte. Dann kommt eine Fehlermeldung und der PC schaltet sofort ab. Im BIOS wird meine HD (Maxtor 80Gb) zwar erkannt, doch wenn ich die HD mit Acronis boote, kommt auch zuerst eine Fehlermeldung Port irgendetwas failed und dann startet erst das Programm. Ich bin mit meinem Latein am Ende. Ich habe auch verschieden HD's ausprobiert: Bei allen dasselbe Porblem. Ich hoffe, ihr könnt mir helfen.

Möglicherweise ist der IDE-Port oder auch nur das IDE-Kabel defekt. Hast du schon mal versucht die Platte am sekundären IDE-Port anzuschließen und/oder ein anderes Kabel zu verwenden?
Der genaue Wortlaut der Fehlermeldung wäre ebenfalls hilfreich.

Hallo!
Das Mainboard hat ja 2IDE Anschlüsse. Ich hatte einnmal probiert, die Kabel auszuwechseln, ging jedoch trotzdem nicht. Die Fehlermeldung erscheint etwa für eine Sekunde, dann schaltet der PC sofort ab.

hi, manchmal schreiben die leute viel, jedoch ohne was spezielles zu sagen.
die genaue mainboard und festplatten bezeichnungen hätten hier mehr gebracht.
vom true image kenne ich aber, wenn es gemecker gibt, dann ist es meistens berechtigt.
wird die festplatte beispielsweise erstmalig durch bios erkannt, nachher aber beim booten vergessen.
manche mainboards haben mit einigen festplatten solche probleme und als mögliche lösung, die hdd als "cable select" laufen lassen.
die hdd sollte im bios unter "standard cmos features" und im boot menu zu sehen sein.
versuche das bios zu zurücksetzen "clear cmos" (per jumper) und nachher alles wieder richtig einstellen.
