existing windows 98 doesn't operate. Do i need to reinstall the system?
hi. our pc upon opening only showed the Windows 98 words on screen and then nothing happens. the system won't start.
do i need to delete the existing windows 98 system and reinstall? Or how can i repair the system.

Hi,
You don't have to deinstall Win98. Start the setup from CD and installs Win98 newly into the same partiton (C:?) You 'repair' Win98 with that.
Excuse my bad English, I studied it 35 years ago in the G.D.R. ;-)

thanks fred. i would try your advice. i hope it will work, coz i've tried so many times to reinstall new windows 98 but failed.
