You must read only this message.

- Clean the cd with a soft cloth, reinsert it and then click O.K.
- If you receive this message again, read the CAB errors section of the setup.txt.file. This file is in the win98 directory of your windows 98 cd.

hey. that's so simple but i've tried so many times cleaning the cd and reinserted it but the same message came out upon 14% of copying the files upon installation installation.

What appeared on screen again set up interrupted, installation cannot be completed. set up interrupted(error number 65).Set up could not finish opening a file on the source disk source file :D:Win 98\Win 98_26.CAB. destination file :D:Win 98\12520437.cpx=12520437.cpx

If You have another computer, you can try to make a copy of the broken Win98-CD.

Another way is an installation from harddisk.
You have to copy all files in folder "win98" to your harddisk and start the installation manually.

Here is what to do:
- boot from CD
- in first menu choose "start with CD-support" (i hope english version works like german)
- in second menu choose "MS-DOS commandline" or something like this
- in result you get a prompt like D:\_
- type in

xcopy -s WIN98 c:  

(RETURN)
now shouldt start the copy process
- when finished (with no errors), type

c:

(RETURN)

cd WIN98 

(RETUN)

setup  

(RETURN)

If anything fails, you have to get another copy of the installation cd.
